Wheelchair-accessible Bathroom

I can finally rejoice! After three very long days of not being able to shower in the morning, I’ve finally just showered. I walked out of bed like a zombie (as I do every morning when I wake up at 5:00am) but today, I got to get out of the shower feeling like a person. I’ve spent the last three days feeling like a zombie because I never got that relief I so desperately need from the shower. Today, however, I got it and I couldn’t be more grateful.

I am seriously so impressed with the work of the company that specialises in bathroom/laundry renovations. Melbourne has plenty of them who claim to be the best so it’s really hard to know who actually will do a good job. If you’ve read my last few blog posts, you’ll know that I originally chose a company that did not complete the job to a high standard and as a result, I wasn’t able to shower for three days. I’ll never make the mistake of choosing a dodgy company again. Thankfully, the company that came to my rescue was fantastic – absolutely top quality.

I think I’m going to recommend this bathroom renovation company to my mother. She’s in need of someone to come up with a tailored wheelchair-accessible bathroom design for her as she’s much older now and doesn’t often get around without her wheelchair anymore. Although she can technically walk, she is frail and old and feels unsteady on her feet.

My mum still has to walk around in her bathroom rather than use her wheelchair in the room as it’s not designed to be wheelchair accessible. This causes my mum (and my family) quite a bit of angst because we’re often worried that she might have a fall, which could be extremely dangerous. I hope my mum takes my advice and chats with this incredible bathroom renovation company.
